Flyway Artists

The Flyway Artists video series was created for the 2021 Society for Ecological Restoration (SER) Conference. The Client, SER collected three series of videos featuring artists from around the world. SER wanted the videos to be combined and connected using the metaphor of migratory pathways. “Even though we are participating in this conference virtually, we are connected as a community sharing this experience. In this video, we brought together artists tied together by migratory pathways to explore visions and ideas about our relationship to nature.” 

We created the following title sequence animation to demonstrate this metaphor and introduce each video series.

 

Task

Create a compelling narrative through animation that frames global conservation in the context of human and environmental connectivity. The video introduction uses the concept of migratory pathways to illustrate connectivity. Video introduction was animated in Photoshop and AfterEffects, and compiled with the artist's videos in Premier.
